Members of Chambers are leading advocates and arbitrators in international arbitration and have appeared before, or presided over, a wide variety of tribunals and courts in jurisdictions around the world, including all the main arbitral centres: whether Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Mumbai, Geneva, Stockholm, London, Paris or The Hague. This expertise is recognised in profiles of members in both Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Legal 500 UAE.
Members of Chambers’ expertise extends across the commercial spectrum, ranging from JV and shareholder disputes, energy and utilities, civil fraud, banking and finance, commodities, IT and technology, telecommunications, construction claims, professional negligence, insurance and reinsurance matters, sports, and international trade. Our barristers have experience of claims run under an extremely broad range of domestic and international institutions, including the AAA, HKIAC, LCIA, ICC, CIETAC, SIAC, DIAC, and subject to all of the major arbitral rules, including UNCITRAL, LMAA, GAFTA, and CIArb.
Harnessing their public international law practices, Members of Chambers have particular expertise in acting in investment treaty arbitrations – whether under the auspices of ICSID or otherwise, both for or against investors and states. A number of our Members of Chambers hold academic posts, teaching investment treaty law and arbitration in leading universities around the world.
